Gothenburg archipelago - A yacht grounded in the Öckerö archipelago; one of two aboard was taken to hospitalSailing yacht/2026/—/Grounding

On 24 May 2026, a sailing yacht with two people aboard ran aground off Hyppeln, in the Öckerö archipelago near Gothenburg, Sweden. The Swedish Sea Rescue Society brought both sailors ashore, and one was taken by ambulance to hospital; the extent of the injuries was not known. The cause of the grounding was not stated.
