On Monday 22 June 2026, a man aboard a sailboat that had become disabled about 100 miles offshore of Charleston, South Carolina, was assisted by the US Coast Guard. The cutter Vigorous took the boat under tow, later transferring it to the cutter Coho, and the sailboat was ultimately handed to a commercial salvage crew near Mayport, Florida. The sailor was safe; the cause of the breakdown was not reported.
